Background Processing
Due to the amount of data that can be involved when working with data from Xero and a potentially large number of customer locations and products, some parts of Presto operate in the background. This means you might not see things show up immediately. This work occurs in the cloud, so it does not require you to keep your Presto browser window open.
If you think things are taking longer than they should (eg. over an hour), get in contact via the support email address.
Some of the processing tasks that operate in the background include:
- Syncing data from Xero
- Recognising products using the marchers you defined for each product
- Combining everything into the data to show on the map
In addition, the map data is cached through our CDN to ensure your map loads quickly for your users, which can add a small additional delay before changes you make are reflected in the map your customers see.
